  • Rides at smaller parks
  • Rides at fairs and traveling carnivals
  • Inflatables at carnivals and parks
  • Inflatables - private rentals
  • Go-Karts
  • Bungees
  • Waterslides

Special Conditions:

Rides operated in New York City are exempt from state law and regulated by the NYC Dept. of Buildings
Regulations Pertaining to Accidents

General categories of accident reporting required for regulated devices:

  • Severe injuries
  • Injuries treated by a physician
  • Injuries requiring on-site first aid
  • Major equipment damage

Reporting Criteria:

Personal injury which results in death; dismemberment; significant disfigurement; a compound or comminuted fracture; or permanent loss of a body organ, member, function or system; or loss of consciousness resulting in hospitalization.

Procedure/Authority for Investigating Accidents:

State officials are authorized to investigate serious accidents.
